Per daily dose — the three words that decide how you read a joint blend

The most important words on the FlexiJoint label aren't an ingredient at all. They're the basis line: per daily dose. Everything after that — MSM at 1200mg, collagen at 1000mg, and a bench of botanicals — is declared across the day's capsules, not per capsule. Miss that line and every number on the panel means something different from what you think.

Why formulators declare per daily dose

A single vegetable capsule holds roughly half a gram. A serious joint formula wants more than a gram of active material a day, so the daily amount is split across multiple capsules — and the formulator has a choice about how to write that down. Declare per capsule, and the numbers look small even when the daily total is substantial. Declare per daily dose, and the numbers are the ones your body actually receives in a day — provided you take the full dose.

We declare FlexiJoint per daily dose because that's the number you'd compare against a study or another product. But the same convention can be used against you: a label quoting an impressive daily total on a product whose directions quietly require six capsules is telling the truth in a way designed to be misread. So the check, on any bottle in any shop: find the basis line first. Per capsule, per two capsules, per daily dose — the ingredient numbers are meaningless until you know which.

The two anchors: MSM and collagen

MSM at 1200mg per daily dose. MSM is a sulphur compound, and sulphur is structural — it's part of the cross-links that give cartilage and connective tissue their integrity. Joint studies on MSM have typically used somewhere between 1.5g and 6g a day. Our 1200mg sits just under the bottom of that band, and we'll say so plainly: inside a blend it's a foundation dose, not a maximum one. If MSM is your main strategy, our standalone MSM exists precisely so you can run it at full depth — a blend shouldn't pretend to be the single.

Collagen at 1000mg per daily dose. Same honesty applies. Dedicated collagen protocols in studies commonly run at 2.5g to 10g a day — gram territory, which is why serious collagen is usually a powder in a glass, not a capsule. The 1000mg here is a contribution to the day's intake, sitting alongside the compounds that support the tissue collagen builds. A capsule blend that claimed to replace a collagen powder would be lying by layout; ours doesn't claim that.

This is the trade every blend makes, and we'd rather name it than decorate it: breadth over depth. One product, one habit, several mechanisms — each at a supporting dose.

The botanical bench

Around the two anchors, the label carries greenshell mussel, boswellia, ginger, turmeric and cissus, with the full ingredient list and milligrams printed on the bottle. These are the traditional and studied joint botanicals — boswellia and turmeric in particular have a genuine research base for joint comfort — and they're in the formula to cover the pathways MSM and collagen don't. We won't re-type every number here; the label does that job, in milligrams, the way our labels always have.

The honest bit

Two things a joint blend won't do. First, at supporting doses, it won't out-perform the dedicated single ingredient taken at its full studied dose — if you've identified the one thing that works for you, take that thing. Second, no capsule addresses a mechanical problem. A joint that's swollen, unstable, locking, or painful after an injury needs a professional's eyes — physio, biokineticist, or GP — before it needs a supplement. Joint formulas support normal joint function and comfort; they are maintenance for the machine, not repairs to it.

Where to start

If your pattern is general morning stiffness and you want one daily habit, FlexiJoint is built for exactly that — take the full daily dose, because the numbers on the label assume you do. If you'd rather run one ingredient at depth, the comparison page sets the singles side by side, or message a consultant with a photo of whatever you're taking now and we'll read the basis lines with you.
